POSITION OVERVIEW
The Business Development Manager will partner with the APAC sales team and headquarters in the USA to drive sales and business development in Precision Products and Medical lines in Asia Pacific regions and Asia/ANZ as secondary regions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive sales and demand across cleaning, coating, specialty segments, aligning with, and meeting company’s objectives, revenue, and profit goals
- Develop, train, and support existing distribution networks as force multipliers
- Identify new distributors who are in line with the required distributor value matrix
- Being a technical resource and first point of contact with end-customers or partners
- Engaging in direct sales calls with end customers or joint sales calls with distributors and being a point-of-contact for customers with the company’s laboratory and technical resources
- Engage customers or distributors on usage forecasts and subsequently update/ coordinate with internal team members
- Plan & execute training programs for distributors’ sales force or any end-users
- Responsible for coordinating regulatory requests and replies, between all customers/distributors and regulatory colleagues
- Assist MD (Asia) in planning sales forecasts, pipelines, and marketing events
- Work closely with MD (Asia) and USA’s Product Manager or National Sales Manager to recommend and execute strategic plans with relation to budgets, global-accounts, distribution-growth, products, pricing, quality, or marketing etc.
- Generate weekly sales reports to MD (Asia)
- Constant networking with key industry players, parallel suppliers, and regularly contributes business/competitors’ intel and market research data to team members
- Provide constructive/strategic product or customer feedback to internal co-workers
- Assist global marketing team and/or external designers with both print and online or digital marketing materials and content for Asia Pacific territories
- Support all marketing events or activities, tradeshows (duty) and conferences as MC brand ambassador
- Contributing and inputting to company’s ERP/CRM system
- Participate and contribute during bi-weekly/monthly online calls and meetings
- Additional duties or responsibilities may be assigned from time to time

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

- Minimum 7-10 years of relevant sales, marketing or business development experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Chemistry. A Business degree with relevant science or engineering work experience may also be considered
- Leadership: a demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others
- Planning: an ability to plan over 1-3 years’ time span
- Proven knowledge in B2B distribution-based sales and seeking out sales opportunities
- Good presentation skills, with the ability to articulate value proposition to customers
- Effective, proactive communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
- Independent, a self-starter, good listener, and a problem solver
- Able to converse and read/write in English and Mandarin
- Strong technical skills with CRM experience
- Ability to travel internationally 30 to 50%
- Execute business operations in different time zones

- Relevant selling experience and knowledge with vapor degreasing
- Project management skills
