Strategic Planning & Market Analysis Conduct comprehensive market research to identify emerging opportunities, customer needs, and competitor activities. Develop and implement strategic business development plans to expand into new markets, verticals, and territories. Continuously analyze industry trends and provide recommendations to senior leadership on strategic initiatives.
Lead Generation & Prospecting Identify and target potential business clients and partners through various channels, including networking, industry events, referrals, and inbound leads. Develop and maintain a healthy pipeline of prospects to drive consistent business growth. Qualify leads through cold calling, email outreach, and in-person meetings, converting them into actionable business opportunities.
Sales & Revenue Growth Collaborate with the sales team to develop effective strategies that drive lead conversion, customer acquisition, and revenue growth. Close high-value deals with new and existing clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements. Drive sales strategies and focus on meeting or exceeding revenue targets and KPIs.
Relationship Management & Networking Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, customers, business partners, and other key stakeholders. Attend industry conferences, networking events, and client meetings to expand the business network and gather market insights. Act as a trusted advisor to clients, helping them solve problems and identifying new business opportunities.
Proposal & Presentation Development Develop tailored proposals, presentations, and pitch materials to meet client-specific needs and objectives. Lead client presentations, effectively communicating the value proposition and benefits of the company's solutions. Respond to RFPs (Requests for Proposals), creating customized, persuasive proposals to win new business.
Contract Negotiation & Deal Closure Lead negotiations for contracts, pricing, and terms with new and existing clients and partners. Develop deal structures that align with both client needs and the company's strategic goals. Oversee the contract execution process, ensuring smooth transitions and compliance with terms.
Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with the marketing, product development, and customer service teams to align business development initiatives with the company’s overall strategy and capabilities. Ensure that business development activities are well-supported and executed across the organization. Provide valuable market feedback to internal teams to refine offerings and improve customer experiences.
Performance Tracking & Reporting Regularly track and measure the success of business development activities through KPIs such as lead generation, conversion rates, and revenue growth. Provide detailed reports to senior management on business development progress, opportunities, and market conditions. Adjust business development strategies based on performance metrics and market feedback.
Client Retention & Account Management Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and address any issues that may arise, contributing to client retention. Identify opportunities for expanding existing client accounts by offering additional services or products. Collaborate with the customer service team to resolve any post-sale issues and maintain long-term relationships.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
Experience: 3–5 years of proven experience in business development, sales, or related roles. Demonstrated success in generating new business and meeting/exceeding sales targets. Experience in Construction is highly preferred.
Skills: Strong negotiation and closing skills. Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to identify and seize new business opportunities quickly. Proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively. Strong analytical skills to track market trends and performance metrics.
