Business Development (Fashion brand Marketing/Buyer)

We are a subsidiary in Singapore of a 40-year global textile manufacturing company looking for a Business Development Associate in fashion brand marketing, textile, and garment industry.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop sales and marketing plans to acquire new B2B & B2C customers and drive collaboration with partners through emailing and cold calling.
2. Proactively identify and qualify potential clients through networking, outreach campaigns, and market intelligence.
3. Identify and collaborate with strategic partners to expand market reach and offer enhanced solutions.
4. Process buyers’ orders and liaise with suppliers and clients.
5. Determine quantity and timing of delivery, optimize sourcing and order follow-up procedures to attain maximum efficiency.
6. Work closely with production on order lead-time, handle day-to-day problems, and ensure timely delivery.
7. Prepare quotations, tenders, purchase orders, delivery orders, data entry, etc.
8. Assist the senior manager with new business development projects.
9. General admin tasks, filing, and inventory management.

Requirements:

1. Good communication skills, ability to negotiate and sustain networking relationships.
2. At least 3 years’ experience in fashion trends and merchandising knowledge.
3. Experience in the garment industry / Diploma in Fashion Merchandising or related discipline.
4. Qualifications in textile-related fields are preferred.
5. Able to work independently with overseas clients and manufacturers.
6. Well-versed in various global markets.
7. Good in written and spoken English.
8. Only Singaporeans.
