Job description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Market Development & Strategy:

  1. Identify new business opportunities in key industrial sectors across ASEAN.

  2. Conduct market research to analyze industry trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape.

  3. Develop and implement strategic plans to support market expansion in collaboration with local Area Sales Managers.

  4. Identify and recommend potential partnerships, distributors, or strategic alliances to strengthen Röchling’s presence in the region.

2. Collaboration with Area Sales Managers:

  1. Work closely with local Area Sales Managers to provide insights, research, and strategic guidance for their respective markets.

  2. Support in developing business plans, customer engagement strategies, and market entry approaches.

  3. Ensure alignment between business development efforts and local sales teams' objectives.

3. Customer & Partner Engagement:

  1. Engage with key industry players, potential customers, and strategic partners to foster relationships and explore business opportunities.

  2. Organize and participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to expand market reach.

  3. Serve as a liaison between potential clients and the internal sales & product teams, ensuring market needs are understood.

4. Internal Coordination & Reporting:

  1. Provide regular updates and business development reports to management on market activities, opportunities, and challenges.

  2. Collaborate with internal teams (product management, marketing, and operations) to ensure offerings align with market demand.

  3. Maintain and update internal reporting systems with key insights and engagement activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

  1. Candidate must possess at least a diploma, bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.

  2. For Executive: 1-3 years of experience in industrial business development.

  3. For Assistant Manager: 3-5 years of experience, with proven experience in market expansion strategies.

  4. Experience in industrial sectors within ASEAN (e.g., manufacturing, engineering, plastics, or related fields).

  5. Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.

  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.

  7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with regional teams.

  8. Willing to travel frequently and extensively with long term commitment and enthusiasm to develop and establish our products in South Asia regions.

  9. Proficiency in market research tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred:

  1. Experience in business development across multiple ASEAN countries.

  2. Familiarity with industrial supply chains, procurement processes, and manufacturing industries.

  3. Ability to speak additional ASEAN languages is a plus.
