Business Development Director – China Market (Semiconductor Industry)
POSITION PURPOSE
This is a high-impact leadership role focused on opening, developing, and scaling our presence in China. You’ll drive strategic initiatives, secure key partnerships, and build the foundation for long-term success in one of the most critical regions for our industry.
JOB FUNCTIONS
· Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy for the Chinese semiconductor market
· Identify, approach, and manage relationships with OEMs, ODMs, distributors, and ecosystem partners
· Lead commercial negotiations and secure long-term contracts with key industrial clients
· Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes to inform business strategy
· Support local team building and operational setup as growth scales
· Represent the company at key trade shows, conferences, and government/industry events in China
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
· 6-8+ years of experience in business development, sales, or strategy within the semiconductor or industrial electronics industry
· Proven track record of driving growth in China or other APAC markets
· Deep understanding of the semiconductor value chain, from foundry to OEMs
· Strong network in industrial electronics, automotive, or renewable energy sectors in China
· Fluent in Mandarin and English (written & verbal)
· Engineering or technical background is highly preferred
· Entrepreneurial mindset with excellent cross-cultural communication skills
