Business Development Director

Job Descriptions

1. To manage Logistic Sales and Business Development in Air, Ocean, Local Transportation and Warehousing.
2. To deliver presentations towards customers in South East Asia and Australia, and initiate regular business trips for such sales activities.
3. Promote existing customers’ retention, cross selling and upselling.
4. To build and lead a strong Business Development team, achieving both short-term and long-term targets (monthly/semi-annual revenue & profit performance review).
5. To establish national supply chain strategy, ensuring that the team grows quickly to become an absolute top tier logistics company in South East Asia and Australia.
6. To lead a team of international freight/express sales and cooperate with procurement experts, driving the team to perform and deliver results.
7. To closely monitor trends on rates of Air & Ocean freight and work with procurement experts to secure competitive prices and stable space.
8. To achieve sales target, presenting the performance in reports and internal regular meetings (weekly/monthly/semi-annually).
9. To manage/monitor sound Business Opportunity (Inventory) level of all Sales Team in South East Asia and Australia.
10. To set up Go-To-Market strategy by region and ensure that the sales activities align with the strategy.

Job Requirements

• 15 years+ experience in logistics.
• 5 years+ experience in New Business Development/Sales experience.
• Leading/Directing/Managing experience in a Global forwarding company.
• Experienced in large-scale, long-term contracts and global accounts.
• Experienced in logistics IT systems (FIS/WMS/TMS).
• Logistics Business development & Sales.
• Knowledge about overall logistics business (Air, Ocean, Local Transportation, Warehouse).
• Ability to lead negotiations, communicate, understand situations and respond in a dedicated manner in all kinds of conditions.
• Strong Local transport/Air-industry/Ocean-industry network in South East Asia and Australia.
