Business Development Assistant Manager Job Brief

We are looking for an ambitious and energetic Assistant Business Development Manager to help us expand our clientele. You will be the front of the company and will have the dedication to create and apply an effective sales strategy. The goal is to drive sustainable financial growth through boosting sales and forging strong relationships with clients.

Business Development Assistant Manager Responsibilities

  1. Develop a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfaction
  2. Conduct research to identify new markets and customer needs
  3. Arrange business meetings with prospective clients
  4. Promote the company’s products/services addressing or predicting clients’ objectives
  5. Prepare sales contracts ensuring adherence to law-established rules and guidelines
  6. Keep records of sales, revenue, invoices etc.
  7. Provide trustworthy feedback and after-sales support
  8. Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers
  9. Develop entry level staff into valuable salespeople
  10. Developing growth strategies and plans
  11. Managing and retaining relationships with existing clients
  12. Increasing client base
  13. Having an in-depth knowledge of business products and value proposition
  14. Writing business proposals
  15. Negotiating with stakeholders
  16. Identifying and mapping business strengths and customer needs
  17. Researching business opportunities and viable income streams
  18. Following industry trends locally and internationally
  19. Drafting and reviewing contracts
  20. Reporting on successes and areas needing improvements
  21. Contacting potential clients to establish rapport and arrange meetings
  22. Planning and overseeing new marketing initiatives
  23. Researching organizations and individuals to find new opportunities
  24. Increasing the value of current customers while attracting new ones
  25. Finding and developing new markets and improving sales
  26. Attending conferences, meetings, and industry events
  27. Developing quotes and proposals for clients
  28. Developing goals for the development team and business growth and ensuring they are met
  29. Training personnel and helping team members develop their skills

Business Development Assistant Manager Requirements

  1. Proven working experience as a business development manager, sales executive or a relevant role
  2. Experience in sales, marketing or related fields
  3. Strong communication skills and IT fluency
  4. Ability to manage multi-task
  5. Excellent organizational skills
  6. Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty
  7. Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  8. Comfortable using a computer for various tasks
  9. Time management and planning skills
  10. The ability to work under pressure
  11. Availability to work within opening hours (e.g. evenings, holidays, weekends)
