Business Development Advisor (6-Month Contract)

Description

Baker & McKenzie.Wong & Leow is looking for a Business Development Advisor to join our Business Development, Marketing and Communications (BDMC) function on a 6-month contract, with the potential to transition into a permanent role.

About The Role
The BD Advisor will coordinate and deliver the Singapore legal directory and awards submissions. The role involves working closely with colleagues in the in-market business development team and lawyers across the firm to maintain and improve the practice and individual rankings.

Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate and manage the legal directory / award submissions process, ensuring timely and high-quality submissions, in collaboration with the in-market BD team.
  2. Organise kick-off meetings with partners, manage the process of matters and referees collection, and work with the in-market BD team on submission sign-offs and research interviews.
  3. Communicate regularly with key stakeholders to provide guidance and support for submissions and awards.
  4. Manage the collation of directory rankings and quotes for communication channels.
  5. Work with lawyers and the Global Experience Management team to ensure deals information is collected and submitted to the deals database.
  6. Any other ad hoc requirements for the BDMC function.

About The Candidate

  1. At least 2 years of experience in submitting to Chambers and Legal 500 and a strong understanding of the legal directories process.
  2. Degree in business administration, marketing, or similar qualification an advantage.
  3. Fluent English essential, both written and oral English fluency.
  4. Excellent organisational and project management skills.
  5. Team spirit essential, ability to work collaboratively across teams.
