This role will have a day-to-day, ongoing impact on company operations, helping the organisation to analyze, strategize, and grow our financial position. This seasoned strategist not only will understand current accounting practices and trends, but also will have experience raising capital and adapting to change, whether it’s through growth or downsizing.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Take responsibility for all cash management, investments, insurance, budgeting, and financial reporting, and help drive the company’s financial strategy for International Sales (IS) Hub APAC
- Work with Finance Directors of all Hub APAC regions to efficiently develop budget proposals, provide access to project finance information, and ensure contract/grant compliance and reporting
- Responsible for trade finance globally for Hub APAC markets
- Coordinate development of annual operating, capital, and program budgets, as well as reporting for the same
- Perform risk management through analysis of company liabilities and investments, and evaluate and manage capital structure
- Work closely with VP, International Sales to support strategy development for UD products across all Hub APAC markets
- Support in negotiations with business partners for commercial terms and conditions
- Develop and implement best practices and tools to ensure a well-controlled yet flexible organization that has strong fiscal management, project coordination, cross-team communications, and workflows
- Comply with national and local financial requirements by studying existing and new legislation and taking appropriate action
- Research revenue opportunities and economic trends, analyze internal operations, and identify areas for cost reduction and process enhancement
Minimum qualifications
- Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance required
- Certified Public Accountant designation preferred
- 8 to 10 years of experience in financial management required
- Excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity
- Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills
- Understanding of advanced accounting, regulatory issues, and tax planning
- Ability to translate high level finance information into business language for everyone to understand
- Capability of raising your voice as a gate keeper of the company financials as and when required
