Business Analyst, Transaction Banking (Trade Finance) – Japanese Speaking

Responsibilities:

Analysis, Communication and Issue Resolution:

1. Conduct a thorough analysis to develop the current (As-Is) workflow for branches, identify issues, and design the future (To-Be) model. Prepare detailed explanatory documents and diagrams for the Transaction Banking departments at both the Head Office and Regional Head Office to facilitate discussion and achieve consensus.
2. Engage with stakeholders across various functions (e.g., branch operations, systems, front office, Head Office, and other client teams). Lead discussions to reach well-informed conclusions and agreements.
3. Document and communicate the final conclusions and directions to relevant parties. Address and respond to their questions and comments.

User Tasks in System Implementation:

1. Plan and execute tasks related to the implementation of existing and new Trade Finance IT systems.
2. Gather user requirements through communication with branches, draft discussion papers promptly, and assess the direction of the future workflow and system specifications.
3. Develop a User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plan, coordinate with stakeholders, and finalize the test plan for the entire region or branch. Review detailed test cases created by branches and provide constructive feedback.
4. Manage the UAT process, addressing any issues that arise, analyzing problems, and collaborating with relevant parties to resolve them.
5. Report UAT progress and issues to project team members and management.
6. Support activities related to System Go-Live, provide Post-Go-Live support, and assist in producing materials for customer onboarding.

Requirements:

1. Min. 3 years of relevant working experience in banking industry. Candidates with working experience in Consulting firm will be an added advantage.
2. Proven track record in managing IT System Implementation projects.
3. Extensive experience with the entire Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from requirement definition through to Go-Live.
4. Experience in Transaction Banking with a focus on Trade Finance (preferred).
5. Good in MS Word, PowerPoint & Excel. Skilled in producing detailed documentation, including meeting materials and discussion papers.
6. Proficient in facilitating meetings and taking minutes of meetings (MoM).
7. Good communication skills in both English and Japanese (to liaise with Japanese speaking client and HQ).
8. Demonstrates strong logical thinking to comprehend complex issues in global projects, with a high level of proactivity in acquiring new knowledge and a keen curiosity about the customer's business.
