Job Description: Business Analyst - Trade Finance Transformation
Program Overview: This role is part of a key initiative aimed at building a new Trade Finance platform to support strong regional growth. The program focuses on both vertical integration (from Front-Office to Back-Office) and transversal coordination (across various functions), with its life cycle spanning from design to completion in Singapore.
Responsibilities:
Gather and translate business needs into specific requirements, backlogs, and user journeys.
Analyze and structure functional inputs from headquarters and local stakeholders.
Coordinate with experts to create solutions aligned with business requirements.
Develop high-quality functional documentation, including user stories, process flows, and workshop materials.
Align business processes with the target operating model.
Formalize business requirements in User Stories format.
Define clear action plan for the deliverable in charge and ensure its execution by Functional Stakeholder.
Assess technical impacts of functional objectives and anticipate challenges.
Collaborate with IT teams and software providers to deliver structured technical specifications.
Support the cut-over plan between legacy and new systems, including parallel runs and smooth decommissioning.
Requirements:
5-8 years in business analysis, focusing on Trade/Transaction Banking platforms, with knowledge of trade finance systems preferred (e.g., Finastra).
Experience in Agile projects and writing high-quality specifications.
Background in management consulting or Big 4 is a plus.
Strong understanding of corporate banking and trade finance products.
Ability to engage with diverse stakeholders (Front Office, Operations, IT).
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
