As a Business Analyst, you’ll work closely with the VP of Strategy & Finance, gaining invaluable hands-on experience in strategy, finance, and project management. Job Overview

The Business Analyst (BA) will provide analytical support to the VP of Strategy and Finance by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting financial and business data. The BA will contribute to the development of strategic plans, financial forecasts, performance analysis and project management to support the company’s business objectives. This role will involve cross-functional collaboration, insights into financial trends, and the delivery of actionable recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Planning & Analysis: Assist in the development and execution of strategic business initiatives by gathering and analyzing market, industry, and competitor data.
2. Business Case Development: Support the VP of Strategy and Finance in developing business cases for new projects or investments, including cost-benefit analysis and risk assessment.
3. Data Analysis & Reporting: Conduct data analysis to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and provide actionable insights to senior management. Prepare and present monthly/quarterly performance reports.
4. Financial Modeling & Forecasting: Build financial models to support business decision-making, budgeting, and long-term financial planning. Provide forecasts based on different business scenarios.
5. Operational Efficiency: Identify and propose opportunities for operational improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
6. Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with various departments (e.g., Business Development, Production and Engineering) to gather relevant data and ensure alignment between strategic goals and day-to-day operations.
7. Process Improvement: Contribute to the enhancement of business processes through the use of data-driven insights, continuous monitoring, and performance reviews.
8. Ad-hoc Projects: Assist with ad-hoc strategic and financial analysis for new initiatives.
9. Documentation and Presentation: Prepare clear and concise reports and presentations for the VP and executive leadership team, communicating insights, trends, and recommendations.

Requirements

1. Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Real Estate or related field.
2. Experience: 2-3 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role preferred. Fresh graduates are welcomed to apply.
3. Working Location Flexibility: Willing to work in the Joo Koon and Tuas areas, attend meetings across Singapore, and travel for business trips when necessary.
