Business Analyst, Operations & Technology

Job Summary

We are looking for a self-initiated candidate who will be responsible for the business analysis and product design tasks for derivatives and securities products and systems. The individual will be involved in the design of our business products by gathering and developing functional requirements to design platforms supporting our business, write use cases, and write/review functional design documents. This is a 2-year contract opportunity.

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities include:

• Drive product design in specified projects for both derivatives and securities products and platforms, including trading, clearing, and post-trade as well as related functions.
• Work with all stakeholders to derive key requirements and build consensus among stakeholders.
• Support project managers by creating and maintaining product backlog derived from the requirements considering business value, regulatory requirements, as well as internal platform requirements.
• Write functional requirements for SGX products that are delivered with in-house developed and packaged software.
• Collaborate with external vendors and internal development teams to review and determine solutions and designs.
• Work closely with internal platform engineering teams and vendors to drive platform innovation that will in turn drive business value.

Job Requirements

Job Requirements are:

• A Master or bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of experience in product design and requirement gathering with a minimum of 3 years in the financial sector.
• Solid knowledge of analysis and documentation techniques such as process modelling and use case modelling.
• Experience in using project tools for documentation and collaboration tools (for example, Confluence, Jira, Kanban Boards).
• Experience working on trading and clearing processes.
• Strong understanding of all aspects of the software life cycle and good knowledge of agile and traditional software delivery methodologies.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong sense of urgency.
• Team player with a strong sense of accountability.
