Job description

Role Summary

SP2A New Trade platform program is a key program that aims at building the foundation of our client’s new Trade Finance proposal and overall strong growth at regional level.

The main purpose of the team is to lead the Program for vertical (Front-Office to Back Office) and transversal (across several functions) aspects during all its life cycle (from design to completion), in Singapore.

The key interactions are with the Project Sponsor and all the functions impacted by the Trade Finance Target Operating Model & Systems transformation (Front-office, Operations, IT, Finance, Compliance, Legal and Tax).

Main Responsibilities

  • Identify business needs (requirement gathering) – interact with stakeholders (clients, users, mgmt., etc) to understand needs and translate them into specific requirements, backlogs and user journeys from design to testing.
  • Collect Functional Target from the Head Office & SG Squad, analyze, understand, structure and improve it if required.
  • Collect Functional information from Local SG Stakeholders to feed the Technology integration.
  • Coordinate & challenge experts to put together a solution meeting business requirements, aligned on the Target.
  • Leverage on the Business Process Engineer to align the As-Is on the Target.
  • Formalize business requirements in User Stories format.
  • Define clear action plan for the deliverable in charge & and ensure its execution by Functional Stakeholders.
  • Understand technical, integrations or development impacts of the functional objectives.
  • Anticipate technology challenges.
  • Work hand to hand with the Head Office IT Team, Local IT Team and Software Provider team.
  • Feed technology Stakeholders with structured Functional information.
  • Coordinate, structure and ensure high quality deliveries of the Technical Specifications and User Stories.
  • Assist the Local IT in structuring and solving Technology challenges.
  • Take into account the execution of the cut-over plan between 2 systems i.e. establish parallel running, smooth decommissioning of old systems and eventual full cut over to new system.
  • Ensure Agile Methodology usage.
  • Define Methodology & approach, document and present it prior the execution.
  • Identify Technical & Functional Challenges, Risks and Issues, analyze them, document and escalate immediately to the Squad Lead.
  • Update the Weekly Project Dashboard.
  • Update the Action Plan.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or relevant fields.
  • At least 5 – 8 years of experience of Business Analysis in Front to back Trade / Transaction Banking processing chains and platforms (preferably but not mandatorily Finastra platforms or any other Trade Finance eBanking & Processing System).
  • Good understanding of Corporate Banking products and especially Trade Finance.
  • Ability to interact appropriately with a variety of stakeholders, especially SMEs such as from Front Office, Operations and IT teams.
  • Comfortable operating with a strong level of autonomy.
  • Experience in Agile Projects.
  • Experience in writing high quality User Stories, Functional Specifications and Technical Specifications.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, curious, with interest in deep diving into topics.
  • Good written/verbal communication and reporting skills.
  • Good team working and interpersonal skills.
  • Organized and delivery-focused, with attention to details.
  • Management Consulting / Big4 Background is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel & Power point).
