Responsibilities
Proactively manage and grow the global Packaging Board product’s full P&L in anticipation of a significant growth in production activities.
Develop, review and execute a group wide “Go to Market” strategy on Packaging Board sales in each of the globally identified markets to fulfil growth and annual profitability targets.
Optimize strategic commercial and resource allocation matters across the different product lines and geographical region to fulfil these targets.
Drive group production and allocation by coordinating with Production, Logistic, Technical and other relevant Departments on issues relating to product quality and tracking satisfaction.
Ensure the commercial function meets and understands customers’ product requirements (including technical specifications) in each market and translates the requirements to production, deliveries and allocation.
Build positive business relationships with key counterparties/customers for long-term business sustainability.
Develop marketing strategies to establish proper market positioning, pricing, and segmentation of Packaging Board products in alignment with business objectives to support the growth targets.
Drive the transformation from product sales to solution sales.
The role will be based in Singapore and reports directly to APRIL President.
Requirements
At least 15 years of successful general management experience in Packaging Board products or adjacent sectors along the packaging value chain.
Possess a strategic outlook and commercially savvy with high business acumen.
Proven track record in the management of a sizable P&L (at least USD 1Bn) at the regional level, e.g., Asia Pacific.
Strong understanding of packaging market dynamics, relevant product knowledge and customer needs.
Possess prior experience overseeing operations and demonstrated experience in managing the value chain from production to customers.
Experience of managing production team and mill/factory operations is preferred.
Strong communication and presentation skills; familiarity with Asian cultures is a plus.
Good leadership and people management skills.
Resilient, willing and able to be hands-on, sharp with numbers.
Bachelor's degree in engineering from reputable universities, MBA preferred.
