BIO Maintenance technician

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN

Perform routine maintenance works and inspection of process equipment using CMMS to assure its availability for the uninterrupted operation of the manufacturing plant.
Manage equipment maintenance work using Computerized Maintenance Management system (CMMS); responsible for providing clear, structured & detailed write-out when reporting work executed at site into the CMMS system.
Troubleshoot process equipment failures/malfunctions and carry out remediation/corrective measures safely in compliance with GMP/Quality procedures.
Assist in the development of work instructions/procedures, job aids, risk assessment, LOTO list, etc., and assist Maintenance Engineer in developing SOPs for maintenance work.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITY/ JOB TASK

1. Reports to the Maintenance Engineer.
2. Execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for stationary and rotating equipment to assure uninterrupted operation of the plant.
3. Troubleshoot equipment failures/malfunctions and carry out remediation/corrective measures.
4. Ensure all maintenance works are carried out safely in compliance with AbbVie/statutory safety regulations.
5. Provide on-call support for equipment problems (24/7) to minimize downtime of the equipment.
6. Perform work in compliance with relevant SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), cGMP standards.
7. Certified as confined space accessor/supervisor/rescuer, WAH supervisor, gas tester, etc., to perform all types of maintenance work.
8. Good knowledge of LOTO to lead the team in reviewing all LOTO requirements for routine and shutdown maintenance work.
9. Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repair/maintenance work, such as vessel inspection, repairs, major overhauls, etc.
10. Assist in troubleshooting recurring equipment reliability problems using historical data/reports.
11. Assist & support RCFA for major equipment problems or recurring issues together with the reliability engineer to implement improvements.
12. Work with the reliability engineer to move towards RCM for all critical process equipment; have basic knowledge of condition monitoring and equipment vibration data/analysis.
13. Assist & support less experienced staff to carry out basic troubleshooting, system changeover maintenance, support equipment validation, and equipment reliability improvement.
14. Assist maintenance engineer/planner in planning and scheduling maintenance work.
15. Any other duties as assigned by your Supervisor/Engineer/Manager.
