Bartender (44 hour work week)

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the dining experience of guests at Violet Oon, ensuring their complete satisfaction from the moment of arrival till departure.
• This service objective is achieved through proper preparation of all beverages, presentation, and cleanliness of the bar, ensuring compliance with established service standards.
• Comply with all regulatory rules and regulations of government agencies pertaining to safety and sanitation codes.
• Ensure beverage sales targets are met through upselling and promoting beverages to guests.
• Reduce wastage and spillage.
• Prepare all mis-en-place before operation (e.g., garnishes, glassware).
• Ensure that all equipment is in working condition.
• Ordering and storing of stock.
• Perform monthly inventory of equipment and utensils.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of the bar.
• Notify the manager on duty of non-availability of beverage products.
• Up-sell F&B products while taking orders.
• Greet guests in a friendly and warm manner, thank them, and give a fond farewell.
• Coordinate with the manager on all aspects of the event/function beverage requirements.
• Ability to respond quickly and accurately to guest requests.
• Assist the manager in establishing maintenance and cleaning schedules.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Basic Function:

• To ensure guests receive the highest possible level of service.
• Prepare beverage orders with accuracy.
• Ensure the cleanliness and presentation of the bar at all times.
• Train subordinates on the job.
• Prepare orders correctly.
• Handle complaints and ensure proper service recovery.
• Minimize and control costs through efficient wastage reduction.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least 2 years of working experience in the related field.
• Preferably Junior Executive specialized in Food/Beverage/Restaurant Service or equivalent.
• Candidate will act as a Bartender for this job position.
