Banking Paralegal

About the Role:

Baker & McKenzie.Wong & Leow is looking to hire a Paralegal to assist the lawyers on a range of Finance & Projects transactional matters within the practice group.

These will include (but are not limited to):

1. Drafting of some of the finance documents; supporting files alongside senior associate/counsel/partner;
2. Assisting with the management of relevant documents and information;
3. Preparation and filing of ACRA registration and deregistration documents;
4. Preparing prescribed online forms for E-Stamping;
5. Attend to E-Stamping of loan documents;
6. Assisting with closing documents and mechanics, and compiling transaction bundles and originals;
7. Run Bizfile search with ACRA on Singapore company;
8. Proof-reading legal documents;
9. Liaising with clients (both local and foreign) in coordination of instructions and loan documentation;
10. Preparation of documents such as resolutions of directors/shareholders, letters, confirmations, and statements;
11. Simple drafting of ancillary documents such as checklists/notices, corporate approvals, etc.

About the Candidate:

1. Diploma/degree in law or equivalent qualification;
2. Excellent English verbal and written communication skills;
3. Ability to effectively manage competing priorities;
4. Self-starter who can demonstrate a proactive and positive attitude to their work;
5. Comfortable working across multiple cultures and time zones;
6. Strong interpersonal skills, positive attitude and team spirit;
7. High degree of attention to detail and excellent project management skills;
8. Contributes to the effective functioning of the team.
