As a Backend Software Engineer on the TikTok Privacy and Security team, you will:

1. Design, build, and maintain systems that enhance privacy across TikTok;
2. Work with engineering and product teams to ensure that TikTok is compliant with privacy laws and regulations from a technical perspective;
3. Respond to privacy incidents, if they occur, including collecting information on scope and root cause as well as managing remediation.

Qualifications

1. BS/MS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent majors with a minimum of 3 years of working experience;
2. Experienced in building backend services for large-scale consumer-facing applications;
3. Proficiency in at least one of the following languages: Go, C++, Python, Java;
4. Deep understanding of computer architectures, data structures, and algorithms;
5. Good team communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Industry experience developing and implementing privacy features and solutions.
