Business Function
Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of Trade LC Advising processor, digital Imaging Team and Trade Counter via 2 locations in terms of resource management, training and daily BAU challenges, if any.
- To process and / or check Trade Finance Letter of Credit (LC) Advising / Confirmation transactions to ensure compliance to UCP rules, industrial standards, and internal bank policies.
- Ensure SOPs and existing / new controls are in place and adhere to by operating teams.
- Assist to review and check the export LC to ensure that terms and conditions are acceptable and workable for LC confirmation.
- Ensure Trade documentations and it's on-going processes are compliance to UCP rules, ISP98 rules, anti-money laundering guidelines, terrorist financing and sanctions regulations, and other related internal policies.
- Work with and supervise with team members to achieve daily tasks assigned.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members, external clients and internal stakeholders
- Review and opine on New Product / Processing involving / impacting LC advising Team, Digital Imaging Team and counter service Team.
- Assist to identify irregularities and red flag items in the export LC for approval.
Requirement
- Minimum 5-8 years of Trade Finance experience with relevant capability in people management and leadin a team.
- Excellent understanding of UCP rules, ISP98 rules, Anti-Money Laundering Guidelines, and Terrorist Financing and Sanction Regulations.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Meticulous and detailed oriented
- Capable to work effectively under pressure and tight deadline.
- Ability to identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency
