Automotive Maintenance Engineer (GSE Fleet | Airport)

Job Summary:

• 6 Days Work (Shift depends on Airlines)

Job Responsibilities:

• Plan, schedule, and execute workshop maintenance activities for Ground Support Equipment (GSE) and airport automotive vehicles, ensuring high availability, safety, and quality performance — all within budget and regulatory compliance.

• Oversee maintenance operations handled by both in-house technicians and outsourced contractors.

• Utilize WIAM (Computerized Asset Management and Maintenance System) to manage work orders, monitor spare parts usage, and ensure timely production.

• Coordinate and schedule vehicles and equipment for routine maintenance, internal checks, and regulatory inspections.

• Lead and supervise a team of assistant engineers, technicians, and outsourced production/shift supervisors. Manage manpower allocation and shift planning while optimizing workshop capabilities.

• Drive initiatives for continuous improvement, operational excellence, and workplace safety.

• Act as the technical subject matter expert for the assigned fleet. Troubleshoot complex issues, perform root cause analysis, and prepare detailed investigation and technical reports.

• Define technical specifications for required parts and services.

• Conduct and support training program development. Mentor and guide staff to uphold high maintenance standards and work quality.

• Maintain accurate fleet documentation and service records. Analyze data to enhance fleet reliability, maintenance effectiveness, and operational output.

• Be prepared to assume the role of Engineering Supervisor or provide coverage for the Maintenance Engineer when needed.

Job Requirement(s):

• Diploma or NITEC in an engineering discipline, with relevant hands-on technical and supervisory experience.

• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience.

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a multicultural technical team.

• Demonstrates professionalism, service excellence, and acts as a positive role model.

• Willing to work on weekends and public holidays when required.

• Must possess a valid Class 3 Driving License.
