This role will be part of our Cocoa business, and we provide great natural cocoa ingredients to customers all over the world, working with partners across the supply chain to create indulgent treats for consumers and a positive future for cocoa. The portfolio of our cocoa company includes both legacy brands and newer faces; deZaan, Unicao, Joanes, Macao etc. All are market leaders that can meet our clients’ specific regional or global cocoa needs.

Position Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain site automation systems, including ABB 800xA, Schneider PLC, and Siemens PLC systems.
• Oversee PLC programming, HMI design, system troubleshooting, and ongoing maintenance activities.
• Carry out automation and control implementation activities for plant modifications, capital projects and other identified plant improvement projects in line with defined specifications, budget and qualification of facilities in accordance with site to approved procedures.
• Provide specialist advice to other sections and subordinates for trouble shooting/continuous improvement to process/systems.
• Provide input to the project team of capital projects as well as develop and implement the maintenance plan for newly installed equipment.
• Monitor and enforce compliance measures (including safety) within their specific discipline to ensure inspection readiness of plant, as well as participate as an audit team member in the conduct of audits.

To be successful in the role, the incumbent should have the following qualities:

• Minimum degree in the relevant engineering disciplines
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in PLC and DCS programming and maintenance for projects or process changes
• Experience with at least one of the PLC/DCS brands (Schneider Quantum series PLC, Siemens S7-300, 1200 and 1500 series or ABB 800xA system)
