In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring levy collection, recovery of underpayments, and processing of refunds. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of compliance and auditing processes.
As an Audit Executive, your key responsibilities will include:
Administer and execute the enforcement of Skills Development Levy (SDL) regulations, ensuring that businesses comply with the applicable requirements and levy payments are made accurately and on time.
Oversee the process of collecting SDL levies from businesses in line with established policies, ensuring timely payments and compliance with regulatory guidelines.
Identify and investigate instances of underpayment, working closely with businesses to recover any unpaid SDL amounts. Ensure proper documentation of all recovery actions taken.
Administer and manage the process for SDL refund requests, ensuring that valid claims are processed promptly and accurately.
Conduct regular audits of SDL payments, ensuring that all levies collected align with legal and regulatory requirements. Prepare and present audit reports to senior management as required.
Requirements:
Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proven experience in auditing, compliance, or related roles, preferably in the area of levy or tax enforcement.
Strong knowledge of SDL regulations and compliance requirements.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with accounting or audit software.
