Major Functions:
The Asst. Manager will be responsible for developing corporate partnerships and leading market transformation projects with corporate partners. The Asst. Manager will have the drive, knowledge and skills to engage corporate partners in transformational change, delivering shared conservation and community objectives, which will enable Singapore’s businesses to be a leading force in achieving the country’s sustainability goals over the next 10 years.
As part of the Growth and Partnerships Department, the Asst. Manager will play a pivotal role in expanding our corporate partnerships and driving revenue growth through strategic fundraising initiatives. This position requires a creative thinker with excellent communication skills and a proven track record in fundraising and relationship management.
Major duties & responsibilities
Strategic Direction and Leadership – 20%
- Effectively collaborate with the Senior Manager, Corporate Partnerships and Director of Growth and Partnerships to develop and implement strategic plans for corporate fundraising and partnership initiatives.
- Analyze market trends and identify new opportunities for corporate engagement and revenue growth.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including corporate partners, sponsors, and internal teams, to advance fundraising goals, conservation impact and organizational priorities.
- Co-lead the planning and execution of comprehensive fundraising strategies, ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission and strategic objectives.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of fundraising campaigns and partnerships, making data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
Business and Programme Development – 80%
- Work with relevant WWF Programme and Delivery Teams, to understand critical conservation projects and priorities in order to develop innovative strategies to on-board companies for corporate partnership and transformation projects.
- Identify and cultivate relationships with prospective, new and/or existing corporate partners and sponsors to secure support and strategic collaborations in assigned industries.
- Prepare and present compelling proposals, sponsorship packages, and grant applications tailored to the mutual interests and objectives of WWF and the corporate donors.
- Negotiate terms and conditions of partnership agreements, ensuring alignment with organisational policies and priorities.
- Collaborate with relevant internal teams to develop and execute cause-related marketing campaigns, promotional activities, and/or develop new fundraising products.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in corporate fundraising and partnership development to enhance organisational visibility, donation opportunities and conservation impact.
- Collaborate with other teams within WWF and contribute to ongoing programme discussions regarding conservation and outreach projects based in Singapore and/or the region.
Profile:
Required qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or Business Administration or equivalent industry experience in corporate fundraising or partnership development, with demonstrated leadership and strategic planning skills in a charity or nonprofit outfit.
- 2-3 years’ experience in B2B business development, account management is a must.
- Proven track record in one of the following areas and successfully securing corporate sponsorships, managing donor relationships, and achieving targets:
- B2B Sales
- Account management
- Business Development
- Must have a strong fundraising or business development background.
- Passionate about raising funds for environmental causes and working in NGOs, and is able to utilise sales and marketing concepts to further WWF’s conservation goals.
