This position requires the Associate Psychologist I to assist in providing psychological services for management of patient care within a community setting. These include, but are not limited to monitoring of mood and psychological symptoms of post-stroke patients in the community as well as delivering one-to-one and group-based therapeutic interventions. He or she will receive training and be provided with appropriate supervision and guidance in the process of conducting these activities.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
An individual who is comfortable and able to work independently to administer mood screeners, conduct initial interviews, and assist in providing basic therapeutic intervention for mild/routine psychological conditions post-stroke, such as providing supportive counselling.
Assist in running intervention groups or help to provide psychoeducation to patients and families.
Conduct the above activities under the guidance/supervision of a fully trained psychologist or healthcare professional (e.g., doctor, occupational therapist).

EDUCATION
Bachelor's qualification in Psychology or mental health-related field, preferably with Honours.
EXPERIENCE
Able to work comfortably and independently within a community setting with stroke patients or patients presenting with psychological conditions.
