Associate, Private Markets

Role Overview

The Conduit Private Markets Group is seeking a motivated Associate to support investment and portfolio monitoring functions, as well as fund-building initiatives. This role encompasses a broad range of responsibilities, including investment processes, post-investment portfolio support, portfolio monitoring and analysis,

reporting, and fund management. The Associate will evaluate investments in both primary and secondary deals within the venture ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Deal Sourcing & Market Research: Manage the investment pipeline by identifying high-potential primary and secondary opportunities across both early- and late-stage venture-backed companies.
• Due Diligence & Investment Analysis: Lead due diligence efforts by conducting detailed financial, commercial, and operational analyses, including industry research, financial modeling, and competitive benchmarking.
• Investment Execution: Support transaction structuring, prepare investment memos, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless deal execution.
• Portfolio Management: Track and monitor portfolio company performance, analyze key financial and operational metrics, and provide strategic insights to optimize investment outcomes.
• Fund & Product Development: Assist in structuring and launching new private market investment products, including market assessments, strategy formulation, and the preparation of marketing materials.
• Firm-Building Initiatives: Enhance internal processes, investor reporting, and knowledge-sharing to support the institutionalization and scalability of the Private Markets Group.

Qualifications & Experience

• 3+ years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or strategy consulting.
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with a deep understanding of private market investment structures.
• Experience evaluating venture capital investments, secondaries, or fund structures is a plus.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate investment theses clearly.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, problem-solving approach.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
