associate m&e director

Job Description:

1. Lead the technical and project management delivery of M&E projects
2. Drive technical development and keep up-to-date with new technologies / innovations
3. Provide technical and project leadership assisting Director/QP
4. Lead tender bid in M&E Services
5. Formalise standards for specifications, drawings, etc. in conjunction with other Team Leaders and Division Leaders
6. Keep Team members informed and aware of the latest practices, materials availability, legislative rules and regulations, etc.
7. Prepare/provide Conceptual Design/sketches
8. Ensure technicality/Design documentation work carried out by team members is appropriate and complies with codes and local authority requirements
9. Manage staffing and technical standards of the Team, mentoring junior staff
10. Set design criteria, check design calculation, drawing and update team members on latest project developments
11. Ensure concept and sketch designs are approved before progressing to the next stage
12. Oversee and control efficiency and quality of work produced by the Team members
13. Review M&E Detailed Calculations Report, Design and Drawings
14. Ensure timeliness of production of works carried out by the Team
15. Prepare and monitor project cost and budget
16. Attend Client meetings and critical project meetings
17. Ensure Team members are adhering to Company rules and regulations and comply with ISO Quality Procedures

Job Requirements:

1. Master or Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Recognised by Professional Engineers Board (PEB), Singapore)
2. Preferably a Registered Professional Engineer with PEB in Singapore
3. Must have experience working with Engineering Design Consultancy firm
4. Min. 10 years' experience in design / construction industry
5. Competent knowledge of local practice, i.e. Code of Practice, Standards and local authority submission
6. Proven track record of successful projects management and delivery within assigned budget, timeline, quality and safety
7. Good report writing, communication and presentation skills
