We’re looking for an Accountant who will be responsible for running the accounting, financial and tax activities at Carousell. She/He will be involved in the financial operations of the Company’s subsidiaries and provide financial information to other departments, enabling them to make critical decisions.
You will be involved in:
- Month-end book closing; handling full set of accounts, prepare bank reconciliation, prepare audit schedules and reconciliation of all balance sheets and variance analysis on P/L accounts
- Maintenance of transactional documents including agreements, invoices etc
- Work with Shared Services team for AR/AP transaction processing; recording bills/invoices into the accounting system and initiate payments
- Work with Shared Services team for Fixed asset management; updating fixed asset additions and disposals on timely basis
- Quarterly GST return, assist in annual audit, ECI/annual tax return and liaise with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with local statutory laws and regulations
- Design and implementation of system and control governance and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Liaise with the auditors on annual audits and address any accounting and control issues proactively
You are/have:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting or finance industry
- Minimum qualification of degree in accounting or ACCA
- A high level of rigour, energy, discipline to operate both independently and in team
- Ability to work in an unstructured environment where continuous learning and adapting is required to support business growth and experimentation
- Attention to detail and deadline-oriented
- Ability to create automation report via jotform, google sheet would be an added advantage
- Experience in e-commerce or retail a strong plus
- Experience in Netsuite and Peakflo would be an added advantage
