Make an Impact by:
- Perform ingest for all types of media assets during live and pre-recorded productions while ensuring all content meets Company’s high standards for video and audio quality.
- Collating, caching, transferring and managing media required by Playout and production partners.
- Quality Control, Segmenting and spot checking ingested media to ensure it's ready for delivery and the required technical quality is not compromised.
- Re-purposing media for other platforms by means of transcode or simple edits and conforms.
- Routing and switching of feeds, Audio Shuffling/mixing and measuring audio and video signals to ensure quality control of Company endorsed standards on all operations using comprehensive knowledge of broadcast methods.
- Liaising with third party contribution circuit suppliers, as well as with internal stakeholders.
- Managing, planning and monitoring all incoming video feeds via satellite/fiber or IP.
Skills for Success:
- Diploma/Degree in Electronics or Computer Engineering.
- 2 years’ experience in the broadcasting/media industry. Preferably working as Support Engineer.
- Must possess fundamental understanding of audio and video specs.
- Firm grasp of video file base industry standards, digital infrastructures (networks, servers, equipment), captioning, and other localization ancillaries.
- Familiar with Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Able to adapt to changes easily and flexibility with work schedule.
- Willing to work rotating day and night shift, including weekends and public holidays.
- Positive attitude and willingness to take on challenges.
- Meticulous and has good attention to details.
- Highly motivated and adopts a proactive approach to work.
- Technically inclined, with a passion for media and interest in working in a broadcast environment.
- Good knowledge of Sports, live broadcast, live Ingest, segmentation and QC.
- Track details of all operational problems, investigate and provide solutions.
- Ensure all aspects of standard operational procedures are kept and up to date.
