The NCS IA team is responsible for understanding the unique IT, cyber, operational, financial and strategic risks of NCS, whilst in close collaboration with the rest of the Singtel Group IA function, to deliver value to NCS.

You will be a part of a team delivering innovative assurance and consulting services, premised on acute risk assessment abilities that appreciate the unique risks for an IT services company with a regional expansion plan, whilst aligning to the baseline risk appetite of the Singtel Group. You will conduct internal audit reviews, assess the effectiveness of controls, apply critical thinking and analysis, and communicate risks to NCS internal stakeholders in Singapore, Asia Pacific and Australia, as well as the larger Singtel Group IA, of which you will be a part of.

What does success look like?

• Strong business acumen where recommendations and advice are not only sound, but also align with NCS Group’s business goals and objectives.
• Build strong working relationships with the NCS management team and across the business, providing insights, recommendations and guidance on control and governance matters.
• Where appropriate, adopt non-traditional ways to provide risk assurance and seek solutions in areas outside of comfort zones to identify better alternatives in complex environments in a timely manner.

What will you do?

• Leverage internal audit and risk management skills, together with subject matter experts, to critically assess Financial, Operations, IT and cyber processes, systems/tools and culture/people to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Plan, execute, manage and/or lead risk-based audits focused on raising awareness of governance to various management levels.
• Apply leading practices in advanced audit techniques, e.g. risk assessments, data analytics, etc to ‘connect the dots’ across business priorities, processes and systems. Interpret data/ analytics to provide new insights, evaluate root causes and solve problems at a macro level.
• Monitor the effectiveness of remediated activities and work with the businesses to ensure any residual risks are addressed.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders in 1st and 2nd lines of defense functions across NCS Group.

Ideally, you should possess:

• Prior audit experience, preferably in a Big 4 / Professional Services or Internal Audit division of a large company
• Strong analytical skills and professional skepticism to challenge the status quo using factual findings and industry (professional services) knowledge
• Able to work independently, take full ownership to deliver work on a timely basis by adeptly applying sound audit principles
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to navigate wide range (roles and levels) of stakeholders, influence as well as provide risk-appropriate, sound, impactful and commercially viable recommendations.
