We govern, structure, negotiate and execute the largest and most complex deals globally, across all asset classes.

You will be empowered to structure, negotiate, review, draft and prepare legal documentation for our investment and corporate activities. You will also have the opportunity to lead and manage all disputes and litigation for GIC.

You will be part of a team that manages the legal, regulatory, compliance, and reputational risks of GIC.
We are looking for a highly motivated, high calibre candidate to join our Public Markets/Corporate Services Legal team as an Associate / Assistant Vice President.
What will you do as an Associate/AVP, Legal Counsel?
- Review legal aspects of GIC's corporate services contracts, including legal review and analysis of IT procurement contracts (software licenses, hardware purchases/leases, professional services), info-feed contracts, research/consultancy contracts and employment-related agreements (recruitment agency agreements as well as GIC's internal employment agreements).
- Participate in GIC's securities litigation activities, including legal review and analysis of litigation-related documents (retainer agreements for external counsel, litigation funding agreements, court documents such as complaints), drafting internal memos/emails analysing the various securities litigation cases for internal approval and monitoring, reviewing and providing updates for GIC's various securities litigation cases.
- Advise on GIC's global directors' and officers' insurance policies for the whole GIC group, including overseeing the renewal and negotiation of terms for the various policies as well as managing and liaising with brokers.
- Advise on a broad spectrum of contracts to ensure GIC's compliance with applicable privacy laws in Singapore, China, UK, South Korea, India, Japan, USA, Brazil and Australia.
- Liaise and consult with international and local law firms on a variety of legal matters to support GIC's securities litigation, data protection and corporate services activities.
What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?- You should have a law degree with strong academic results from a good university.
- You should have at least 3-5 years' of relevant legal experience in general corporate and litigation matters.
- Expertise and interest in technology related issues and developments, including AI, Generative AI, Machine Learning.
- You must possess an analytical mind, have a good knowledge of commercial laws, and be a highly-motivated person who is able to work both independently and as a member of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
