About The Department
The Group Strategic Communications & Brand function works closely with all functions across the Group to protect and to promote the reputation of UOB. Through our thought leadership, stakeholder and community engagement programmes, we ensure that UOB’s presence, relevance, insights and understanding are seen and felt by our colleagues and customers, wherever they are. We also strive to turn our customers into advocates through our consistent and considered approach in delivering reliable and distinctive customer service.
Job Responsibilities
- Elevate Masterbrand awareness and perception through Brand campaigns and events
- Reinforce UOB’s positioning on the Bank’s strategic focus areas through brand advertising.
- Collaborate with Group Retail Marketing and Group Wholesale Marketing stakeholders and key markets to achieve effective and efficient B2C and B2B media planning and buying with allocated budget.
- Multiply Masterbrand impact consistently in key markets with regional media campaign strategy
- Execute media strategy as required.
- Work with team members to help build strategic regional media partnerships and content creation to position UOB as thought leader and the ASEAN banking force in the region.
- Work with team members to evaluate and build brand sponsorships that maximise UOB’s positive exposure and impact.
- Create presence and profiling in the digital world.
- Reinforce Masterbrand recognition and appeal through Brand identity
- Ensure strong brand governance and advisory, including brand applications and trademarking.
- Own UOB proprietary platforms that reinforce our advocacy of building ASEAN and our connectivity
- Support development of proprietary pillars – including organising updates to management.
- Uphold GSCB Corporate Responsibilities And Corporate Image
- Provide efficient vendor services in Mandarin translation to support corporate requests and maintaining Brand tone of voice.
- Provide advertising materials to support corporate requests, including obituary ads.
- Governance, Risk and Compliance
- Compliance to Group Finance's expense approval guidelines, vendor management guidelines (contracts, RFP), KRCSA, corporate merchandise authorisation and stock management etc.
- Ensure rigour and management of compliance processes.
Job Requirements
- Degree/diploma, preferably in business, marketing or communications. Candidates with relevant experience will also be considered.
- 2 years of relevant experience in brand and communications.
- Understanding of brand and media, including but not limited to features such as paid media, social media and media amplification.
- Be able to think out of the box to problem solve independently.
- Positive and energetic team player.
- Hands-on and curious to stay updated on trends and developments in society.
- Good communication and written skills with proficiency in English Language (proficiency in other languages will be advantageous).
- Need to be comfortable in presenting to senior stakeholders.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the Bank to analyse and clarify issues, and formulate appropriate responses.
- Good time and people management skill.
- Able to stay connected outside office hours.
