Assistant Vice President / Vice President, CFS Strategy
JOB DESCRIPTION As an AVP/VP, CFS Strategy, you will be responsible for supporting the strategy & planning functions for Community Financial Services (CFS) and its key business segments, with the objective of establishing business strategies and action plans to achieve business goals. The role within the Strategy & Business Management team is a critical support function to the CFS leadership team, providing necessary insights and analysis to facilitate decision-making and development of business strategies.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Participate in business planning and initiative setting, including key profit drivers and financial review.
Periodic review of initiatives and action plans with recommendations to close any gaps.
Establish strategic growth drivers, including framework and business model to meet targeted goals.
Strong engagement and collaboration with the business units and internal stakeholders.
Responsible for preparation of business updates for the management & other external meetings.
Support Business Heads in various management updates including bi-monthly business review and any other committee updates.
Perform data-driven analytics providing insights on segment & customer profiling, market and industry sizing.
Keep abreast of macro & economic developments and research to identify opportunities and impacts on business units.
Perform competitive analysis, and ad-hoc data collection & analysis to identify potential business opportunities.
Degree in Banking and Finance with at least 3 - 5 years of relevant experience.
Good understanding of Banking retail and non-retail businesses and its profit drivers. Experience in preparing business cases and financial projections.
Individual with strong business acumen and intuitive business judgement to support informed decision-making.
Able to conceptualize and translate understanding of business into a clear storyboard for business decks.
Strong ability to leverage data, draw insights and support data-driven decision-making.
Good interpersonal & engagement skills. Ability to collaborate well with peers, cross-functional stakeholders and communicate effectively with senior management and business leaders.
Strong problem-solving skill set with ability to prioritize and multi-task under tight timelines.
Possess well-developed written communication & presentation skills.
Highly competent in MS PowerPoint. Advanced Excel skills are a plus.
