Key Appointments

  • Technology Risk Officer, in the Tech Risk & Business Resilience Team.
  • 2nd line technology risk management and governance for the Singlife Group of companies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Champion and advocate effective technology risk management, ensuring risks are understood and managed within the approved risk appetite by the responsible technology functions.
  • Maintain the TRM Risk Framework and technology-related policies and standards in accordance with the relevant MAS Notices & Guidelines and industry best practices.
  • Ensure all material technology and cyber security risks are properly identified for key technology projects and are managed in accordance with the Group’s risk framework.
  • Conduct deep dive reviews of technology related processes, risks and controls, and provide recommendations to strengthen the risk-control environment.
  • Develop/refresh the key risk indicators for effective monitoring of technology & cyber risk.
  • Prepare the quarterly technology risk reports for the relevant risk committees.
  • Validate the effective remediation of open issues by action owners to support issue closure.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable tech-risk related laws and regulations relating to the above functional activities.

Purpose of the Role

  • Support the ED, Tech Risk & Business Resilience Team to deliver on the annual risk plans.
  • Ensure effective 2nd line oversight, review and challenge over Singlife Group’s technology risk domains such as technology & cyber risk, cloud risk, digital risk and third-party technology risk management.
  • Ensure that the technology risk profile of the Group is managed within approved risk appetite.
  • Provide technology risk advisory support to Business Units.

Key Decisions within the Role

  • Systems – Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) System.
  • Know how / expertise – Risk management framework and regulatory requirements.

Team

  • Part of Technology Risk Management team with six team members.

Requirements:

Experience

  • Overall 5 years of experiences in areas of technology governance, risk management, operational risk and control management.
  • Good understanding of a broad range of technology domains, including Cloud computing.
  • Industry experience from Financial Services, FinTech, InsurTech, Digital Payment, eCommerce would be preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task assignments, prioritize workload with limited supervision and be resilient under pressure whilst delivering to deadlines.

Education

  • Academic: Bachelor’s degree in Computer or Information Technology (Mandatory).
  • Professional Certification(s): CISSP or CRISC, CISA or other recognised organization (Preferred).

External

  • External auditors and local regulators.

Internal

  • Local policy and business standard owners, action owners and risk representatives (Line 1).
  • Risk and control owners and their nominees for the Group Technology function as well as the business entity’s technology leads.
  • Legal & Compliance functions.
  • Members of the wider Group Risk function.
