Reporting to the Head of Certis Technology Singapore, you will lead the presales team to support the Certis Technology Business Group and unit business plans, formulate strategies, and chart technology roadmaps. You will collaborate closely with the global team on technology solutions while identifying relevant technologies based on local trends and landscapes to enhance the customer experience.
The Role
The role primarily involves presales, tenders, and bids stages, requiring both broad and deep technology knowledge and the ability to conceptualize business solutions for customers. Demonstrated ability to engage in discussions with senior-level technology decision-makers related to agility and business value is essential. Broad solution knowledge in IT and OT Convergence technology is required, with prior experience in designing IT solutions (Cloud, System, Network, and Application design) being essential. Understanding of CCTV solutions, Access Control, and Video Analytics is advantageous. The candidate should have prior experience in Post Sales and Delivery Teams and be highly familiar with project methodologies, i.e., Design and Technologies, to review tenders/bids.
Responsibilities we will trust you with:
- Develop project technology strategy by understanding key client objectives, diagnosing and mapping client requirements, articulating solution risks and barriers, recommending project approaches, preparing time and cost estimates, and planning the full project life cycle.
- Prepare and deliver business value solutions for customers, including proposal writing, presentations, conducting proof-of-concept to showcase technical feasibility when necessary.
- Drive innovation and change by influencing and managing a broad range of key internal and external stakeholders, understanding key business impacts, and connecting business purposes to digital strategy to ensure systems are fit for current and future purposes.
- Work with the Sales team as a responsible technology presales solution architect in simple to complex presales /RFP processes involving multiple technologies.
- Develop technical solution designs and create corresponding cost estimates.
- Present technology solutions to both internal and external executive stakeholders.
- Lead the establishment and uplift of technology delivery capabilities to enhance user engagement, efficiency, product quality, and delivery velocity.
- Manage relationships with key product and business executives.
- Involve in the delivery of technology services, ensuring the health of technology platforms is measured via cost of change, operational performance, stability, and resilience.
- Lead a team of presales professionals, ensuring overall solutions and pricing meet critical business requirements through clear purpose and vision, as well as team development, recognition, and mentoring.
- Embed and execute modern Software Development Lifecycle practices, QA and Integration Design, OT/IT Technical Architecture best practices.
- Ensure best practices are applied across strategic programs, governance, methodology, or the application of technology.
- Drive engagement through a collaborative leadership style that produces aligned outcomes while navigating different stakeholder levels within the organization.
- Work collaboratively with stakeholders to facilitate and positively influence strategy, business requirements, and solution development.
- Build strong relationships through engagement with internal customers, colleagues, and other key stakeholders across all stages of the project management life cycle.

Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:
- Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent work experience.
- At least 10 years of relevant working experience, including expertise in enterprise architecture consulting skills such as interviewing stakeholders, conducting architecture reviews, and building consensus.
- At least 10 years of experience in designing, software development, and operating large-scale application platforms.
- In-depth knowledge of network and systems security issues and the ability to provide solutions to address cybersecurity requirements.
- IT certifications - MCSE, CCIE, CISSP, Scrum Master, or equivalent will be advantageous.
- Experience in developing application design patterns using native cloud services offered by AWS or Azure.
- Professional experience with n-tier application architectures development.
- Hands-on development experience for back-end applications and the ability to produce clean, well-tested, and highly maintainable code in at least one of the following languages: Kotlin, Java, C#, .Netcore, NodeJS, and Python.
- A deep understanding of automation throughout the software delivery lifecycle, including automated testing, infrastructure, delivery, support, and operations.
- Experience with cloud technology, architecture, patterns, and tools, including some of the following: Microservices, Event-Driven Architectures, Containers, Kubernetes, Service Mesh, Observability, Immutable Infrastructure, Infrastructure-as-Code, Declarative APIs, Security, Linux, and SRE.
- Experienced with principles and best practices of Software Configuration Management (SCM) in Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
- Knowledge of Data Modeling and Data Integration.
- Experience with Containers and Orchestration such as Kubernetes/OpenShift.
