Singlife was subsequently acquired by Sumitomo Life in March 2024, one of Japan’s leading life insurers, which valued Singlife at S$4.6 billion, making the transaction one of the largest insurance deals in Southeast Asia.

Role Overview

The role is responsible for Prophet model management and governance. This role reports to the Head of Prophet Modelling.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Drive Prophet model optimization (including coding, runtime improvement as well as enhancement in modelling methodology).
2. Responsible for the modelling of new products into Prophet, as well as enhancement of Prophet model due to inforce management initiatives.
3. Responsible for robust Prophet management and governance practices.
4. Regular maintenance/review of both Prophet deterministic and ALS model.

Requirements and Expectations:

1. 5 to 10 years of actuarial experience in Prophet modelling and life valuation/capital management. Experience in Prophet ALS modelling and model management is preferred.
2. Strong knowledge/experience of Singapore Risk Based Capital 2. Experience in ICS is an advantage.
3. Self-driven to deliver projects on a timely basis.
4. Great teamwork and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders including Finance, IT, regulators, auditors and group office.
