Job description
Duties & Responsibilities
Supply Chain Strategy Execution
- Support the execution of supply chain strategies that align with business objectives.
- Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process enhancements.
- Drive initiatives to optimize supply chain operations, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.
Demand Planning & Forecasting
- Collaborate with the Sales team to forecast demand and align supply chain activities with business needs.
- Utilize data analytics and forecasting tools to identify demand trends and ensure optimal stock levels.
- Work closely with sales and production teams to anticipate market changes and adjust demand plans accordingly.
- Monitor demand performance, providing recommendations for adjustments to inventory planning.
Process Optimization & Efficiency
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Leverage technology and automation to streamline supply chain and logistics activities.
- Monitor and optimize operational costs through vendor negotiations, contractor management, and cost-control measures.
Logistics & Warehouse Management
- Oversee logistics operations, ensuring timely deliveries and efficient transportation management.
- Optimize transportation routes to minimize costs and enhance delivery efficiency.
- Manage shipping costs by negotiating freight rates, optimizing transport methods, and implementing cost-control measures.
- Evaluate and improve carrier performance while maintaining service quality.
- Work with 3PL providers to develop cost-effective logistics solutions aligned with business goals.
- Supervise warehouse operations to ensure effective storage, accurate inventory management, and timely order fulfillment.
- Develop strategies to improve distribution networks, reduce lead times, and enhance overall logistics performance.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs agents to ensure smooth and compliant shipment processes.
- Source reliable 3PL partners and negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms and service level agreements (SLAs).
- Manage 3PL logistics operations, including warehousing, transportation, and inventory control, ensuring compliance with key performance indicators (KPIs).
Inventory & Stock Management
- Monitor inventory levels to maintain an optimal balance between supply and demand.
- Implement effective inventory control measures to ensure accuracy, minimize waste, and maximize resource utilization.
- Collaborate with procurement teams to ensure timely stock replenishment and prevent supply disruptions.
Purchasing, Supplier & Vendor Management
- Work closely with the Purchasing Team to align procurement strategies with supply chain objectives.
- Assess supplier performance and recommend improvements or alternative sourcing options.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure the best value for the company.
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure adherence to company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
- Prepare regular reports on supply chain performance, including KPIs, demand forecasts, inventory status, and logistics operations.
- Provide insights and recommendations for continuous process improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A qualification in a science-related field is an advantage.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or related roles.
- Strong understanding of supply chain principles, inventory management, and logistics.
- Proficiency in supply chain software, ERP systems, and data analytics tools.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
