About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant/Section Head to join the Central Kitchen (Bread & Pastry) team at Paris Baguette Singapore!
This includes collaborating with the Senior Section Head / Assistant Production Manager on daily tasks and schedules and overseeing other kitchen staff in the absence of the Senior Section Head / Assistant Production Manager.
What you'll be doing
Lead with the day-to-day operations of the central kitchen, including bread and pastry production
Overseeing and coordinating the activities of the bread and pastry team, including bakers and assistants.
Oversee the workflow and quality control processes within your assigned section
Provide guidance and training to kitchen staff to ensure consistent product quality
Training and mentoring staff on baking techniques, recipes, and food safety procedures.
Collaborate with other team members to optimise production and minimise waste
Monitoring the quality of ingredients and finished products, ensuring they meet established standards.
Monitoring employee performance and providing feedback, conducting performance reviews.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment
Ensuring proper functioning and maintenance of baking equipment.
Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety and hygiene regulations
Additional Responsibilities:
Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of production, inventory, and other relevant data.
Problem Solving: Addressing any issues or challenges that arise in the baking process.

Proven experience in a similar role within the hospitality or F&B industry
Strong technical skills in bread and pastry production
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Good communication and interpersonal skills

Jobs Requirements
Min. Diploma in Culinary or its related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar industry such as a high-volume food central kitchen environment
Able to work on weekends, public holidays and shift work.
Able to work overnight shift.
