Assist in the documentation and cataloging of loaned artifacts and exhibition materials
Assist in the management of art handlers for exhibitions set-up and teardown
Assisting with logistics for shipping, nationally and internationally, assisting with tenders & quotations to transport companies and contributing to customs requests
Coordinate the loading and unloading of exhibitions – handling, packing, crating and installation of objects
Maintain and update the museum's collections management database
Contribute to the maintenance of records, condition reports and documentation of objects/artifacts in transit or on display at the museum, visual examination, condition reporting and minimum intervention, monitoring and maintaining exhibitions
Monitor environmental conditions in exhibition areas to ensure the preservation of loaned artifacts
Working with colleagues to ensure the museum's facility reports are up to date and storage facilities are well maintained
Assisting with preparing artworks/objects for exhibition or storage including labeling, packing and cleaning
Coordinating with lenders for loan requirements
Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, contractual obligations and ethical standards in the management of loaned artifacts.
Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to the care and management of artworks/objects
Assisting the Exhibitions & Programmes team
Assisting Exhibitions & Programmes team Project Managers with communication with lenders, internal departments and vendors engaged in exhibition development and delivery
Assisting Project Managers with the on-site development of an exhibition, especially in relation to art handling, mounting and display
Assist in liaison work with internal, external, institutions and/or organizations regarding artwork maintenance
Assist with shipment load in/out, night shift when applicable
Contribute to knowledge sharing activities with internal audiences

Job Requirements
Education & Certification
Degree in a relevant subject
Additional formal qualifications in museum studies, arts management, or a field relevant to the museum’s areas of endeavor
Proficiency with museum collections management software and database systems
Experience
Minimum two years of experience within a museum environment with a focus on registrar, art transport logistics, import/export, art insurance, exhibition management and delivery
Experience in museum collections practices, such as storage, conservation, packing, transportation, customs documentation, condition-checking and other practices associated with museum collection care
Practical knowledge in conservation and preservation methods
Other Prerequisites
Good organizational and communication skills
Ability to manage tasks in a fast-paced work environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel
Fluent in English, both spoken and written
Team player while also able to work independently without close supervision when needed
Confident communicator in sharing constructive feedback
