Assistant Radio Surveyor

Responsibilities

1. To assist Radio Surveyor, carry out VDR/SVDR annual performance tests and statutory safety radio survey on board ships.
2. Update international convention regulations and International Maritime Organization (IMO) requirements.
3. Maintain survey checklists issued by classification bodies.
4. Identify nature of survey and monitor daily statutory survey activities.
5. Prepare survey report and submit to relevant classification authority.
6. Record any non-conformities of equipment in the survey report.
7. Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the superior.
8. To obtain General Operators Certificate (GOC).

Requirements

1. Technical knowledge in GMDSS & VDR/SVDR system.
2. Minimum two years relevant experience.
3. Minimum Diploma in Marine Engineering.
