Job description
JOB DESCRIPTION
Plan, organize and manage the Procurement and Supplier Management processes for the assigned Plant under Power & Renewables located in Singapore.
Liaise with Plant/Project Manager, Section Manager/Head and Engineer to understand their current and anticipated demand for goods, services and works. Integrate the technical requirements into the Procurement Plan and support in new Tender sourcing.
Engage in sourcing, evaluating and qualifying new suppliers. Conduct performance evaluation for existing suppliers on an annual basis.
Identify and develop alternative suppliers and support cost reduction programmes.
Handle and manage RFQ/RFP, commercial evaluations, price and T&Cs negotiation, PO/Contract award and PO/Contract administration to final delivery and PO close out, ensuring the Company's best interest is consistently achieved.
Procure, administer, develop and manage all tenders and contracts in accordance with safety and budgetary requirements, technical specifications, and procurement guidelines.
Ensure that the procurement process adheres to Company and Client requirements, as well as Company policies and procedures.
Work with applicable staff to research and resolve supplier issues that have been escalated, and advise the assigned Plant as appropriate.
Build and develop relationships with suppliers and contractors, manage relationships, and assist in building effective partnerships.
Undertake tasks, activities, and assignments at the direction of the Procurement Manager.
Ensure that the monthly procurement reports and cost saving/cost avoidance statistics are reported on time to the Procurement Manager.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as reasonably requested by your immediate supervisor from time to time.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Diploma/Degree in Engineering or equivalent business studies with more than 3 years of procurement experience, preferably in a Plants Operations & Maintenance environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills (English).
High integrity, mature, and driven to work independently.
A good team player who is able to build rapport with a diverse workforce in a multi-cultural setting and work well with other departments and internal stakeholders.
Strong ability to negotiate, resourceful, and possess good analytical skills.
Able to work under pressure and align priorities for execution.
Experience with SAP S/4 HANA ERP, SAP Ariba, and/or Maximo system is a strong plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft applications, such as Office and Excel.
