Job description

The Assistant Marketing Manager will be working in a dynamic, innovative and nurturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing various strategies and marketing campaigns, aligned with the objective of raising brand awareness for SBC and raising the profile of its programmes.

Reporting directly to the Marketing Manager, the Assistant Marketing Manager will assist in overseeing the marketing intern and be responsible for the coordinating and organising of SBC’s marketing operations to achieve the organisation’s marketing, corporate communication, partnership and sponsorship goals.

In particular, the Assistant Marketing Manager will work closely on a number of SBC’s events such as workshops (e.g. SBC Academy), community outreach events (e.g. SBC Campus and Little Campus), and signature events (e.g. Asian Festival of Children’s Content, Singapore Literature Prize, Singapore Translation Symposium).

The Assistant Marketing Manager will also utilise insights from digital and social media marketing to provide SBC’s senior management with information to make informed decisions to strengthen SBC’s online presence.

Responsibilities:

  • Social Media and Digital Content Management
  • Oversee the SBC social media calendar and manage all social media channels and accounts under SBC’s marketing purview
  • Develop and execute innovative content marketing strategies with the marketing intern for social media, including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, Youtube, TikTok and LinkedIn
  • Manage the SBC website and AFCC website with the marketing intern to ensure that all content is updated, accurate and accessible
  • Utilise digital and social media analytics to analyse and strengthen marketing efforts
  • Utilise online email marketing platforms to ensure the delivery of SBC’s e-newsletters
  • Project Management
  • Day-to-day project co-ordination for various SBC marketing campaigns: Liaise with internal stakeholders, including Executive Director and programmes department, to ensure smooth execution of marketing campaigns
  • Track progress of SBC’s creative production of marketing collaterals
  • Liaise with external vendors including, but not limited to: graphic designers, photographers, web developers, videographers, and printers for the delivery of SBC’s marketing materials
  • Marketing Strategy and Execution
  • Design, copywrite, edit and proofread SBC’s marketing collaterals with the marketing intern
  • Develop marketing and outreach strategies with the Marketing Manager to publicise SBC’s programmes, strengthen SBC’s branding, and grow the SBC community, including identifying potential collaborators and partnerships
  • Provide operational, logistical and marketing support for SBC events
  • Donations/Sponsorships
  • Assist the Marketing Manager and Executive Director in SBC’s fundraising efforts, including drafting sponsorship proposals; prospecting potential donors and sponsors; coordinating donation campaigns and managing donor relations

Job Requirements:

  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Art/Design, Creative Multimedia, Mass Communications, Advertising/Media or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years experience, preferably in digital marketing, content creation or social media management in the arts
  • Strong communication skills in both written and spoken English
  • Proficiency in Canva; knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop & Adobe Illustrator is advantageous
  • Basic foundation/knowledge of photo editing and video editing
  • Proficiency in Chinese, Malay and/or Tamil is advantageous
