Roles & Responsibilities
- Oversee the financial accounting and reporting functions for six entities.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of monthly closing activities in SAP.
- Review, analyze, and validate Profit & Loss (P&L) and Balance Sheet (BS) entries prepared by the Shared Services Center (SSC).
- Maintain financial records, including computations for FRS 115 and FRS 116, and prepare monthly and annual tax computations, including deferred tax and GST reporting.
- Compile and submit reporting packs to Temasek.
- Prepare and review reconciliation statements and balance sheet schedules.
- Draft financial statements and coordinate with external auditors for annual statutory audits and tax matters.
- Strengthen internal controls and enhance finance processes and systems.
- Drive continuous improvements in month-end closing processes, financial systems, and the automation of financial reports.
- Stay updated on and ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Support management reporting requirements for government authorities and other stakeholders.
- Contribute to ad hoc projects and undertake additional duties as required.
Skills & Requirements
- Accounting Degree / ACCA or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience handling full set of accounts, GST, and corporate tax & deferred tax computation.
- Experience handling FRS116 accounting is a plus.
- Strong in handling excel spreadsheets.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to commit to long working hours during quarterly and year-end peak periods, and when there are ad-hoc requests with tight deadlines.
- Able to handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.
