The Role

The Sustainable and Green Finance Institute (SGFIN) is a university-level research institute in the National University of Singapore (NUS), jointly supported by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) and NUS. SGFIN aspires to develop deep research capabilities in sustainable and green finance, provide thought leadership in the sustainability space, and shape sustainability outcomes across the financial sector and the economy at large.

This role is ideally suited for those wishing to work in academic or industry research in the financial sector, particularly in the area of sustainable, responsible, and green investing and valuation. This role supports the Institute’s mission by managing strategic partnerships, enhancing programme delivery, and overseeing marketing and event coordination. The incumbent will facilitate industry collaborations and ensure the smooth execution of events and customised executive education initiatives through effective stakeholder engagement and operational support.

Responsibilities

  1. Facilitate strategic partnerships with industry stakeholders, including financial institutions and corporates, and internal and external collaborators. Build and maintain relationships to ensure the quality and relevance of the Institute’s programmes.
  2. Support research and analysis of emerging trends and best practices in education and training.
  3. Oversee marketing and promotion of programmes, including developing promotional materials, managing social media platforms and the website, and organising events.
  4. Plan, organise and manage events, including stakeholder coordination, EDM design, logistics arrangement and registration.
  5. Oversee and manage the administrative aspects of programme delivery, including budget planning, scheduling, logistics, registration and feedback collection.
  6. Maintain and update the Institute’s stakeholder and event database, and track collaborations regularly.
  7. Manage role-based email accounts and respond to inquiries promptly.
  8. Provide administrative support for customised executive education initiatives and secondary support for other executive education programmes.
  9. Perform other duties as assigned by the Directors and reporting manager.

Requirements

  1. Diploma / Bachelor’s degree from a recognised educational institution / university, preferably in finance, marketing, and business administration.
  2. At least 3 years of experience in educational programme management, preferably in an institute of higher learning.
  3. Experience in social media management and website maintenance is an advantage.
  4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  5. Strong interpersonal and stakeholder relationship management skills.
  6. Proven experience in programme and event management.
  7. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  8. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a high level of initiative.
  9. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and graphic design software such as Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, or Canva.
