About the Role
To augment our manpower resources in the School, we are looking for a suitably qualified candidate to join our Lifelong Education & Training (LET) as Assistant Manager (Marketing).
Reporting to the Manager (Marketing), the incumbent shall assist in a wide range of marketing campaigns and events to promote NUS Lifelong Learning (L3) courses, programmes and solutions.
This role is offered on a 3-year renewable contract basis in the first instance, with the prospect of a regular open employment contract thereafter subject to satisfactory job performance during the first 3 years.
Remuneration is based on a 12-month salary structure, with annual variable bonus subject to the incumbent's performance and the University/School's prevailing remuneration policies.
The incumbent will be emplaced at an appropriate appointment grade based on his/her individual merits.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Event Planning (30%)
• Plan and Execute Events: Support the conceptualisation, development and execution of events and activations targeting professionals (PMETs) and corporate partners.
• Oversee Setup and Production: Manage suppliers and contractors to ensure seamless event setup and production.
• Manage Budget and Timeline: Oversee budget and timeline to ensure the successful execution and marketing of each event.
• Develop innovative engagement ideas: Enhance attendee participation and interaction during events.
Marketing (70%)
• Develop and execute marketing campaigns: Assist with planning, conceptualising and executing marketing campaigns, including budget management, content creation, and scheduling.
• Content production: Support the sourcing of relevant content based on approved themes. Assist in liaising with internal stakeholders, agencies and external vendors to create content for events, website, social media, email, and other digital platforms.
• Content distribution: Work with media agency to strategise the distribution of content across various channels (internal and external).
• Post-Mortem Analysis: Gather, analyse, and compile regular post-mortem reports on marketing plans to enhance future marketing strategies and decision-making.
• Agency Appointment: Assist in the identification, evaluation, and selection of external agencies for marketing and events. Negotiate contracts, manage relationships, and ensure the delivery of high-quality services in alignment with organisational goals and budgets.
Academic & Professional Certification
• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or a related field from a reputable university.
Experience & Attributes:
• 3-5 years of related working experience.
• Experience in digital marketing, content production, and familiarity with Salesforce and Google Analytics will be an added advantage.
• Strong writing and visual communication skills to effectively convey information, create engaging content, and present ideas clearly and professionally.
• Excellent coordination and organisation skills, with a customer-centric mindset
• Strong team player who is meticulous, resourceful, resilient and thrives in a fast-paced, results-oriented and ambiguous work environment
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop will be an added advantage
