Founded in 2013 by a core team of senior satellite professionals, Kacific is backed by a group of investors with global telecommunications and infrastructure experience. Our first Ka-band high throughput satellite, Kacific1, was launched in 2019 to stream high-speed, low-cost, ultra-reliable broadband to rural and suburban areas of the Pacific and South East Asia.
The Assistant Manager, Marketing & Communications will play a key role in planning, developing, and implementing regional marketing activities and product launches to drive awareness and growth for Kacific. This role involves managing internal and external communications across various touchpoints, including social media, digital platforms, public relations initiatives, and events. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, outgoing self-starter with strong writing, organisational, and execution skills. They will work across both Business-to-Consumer (B2C) and Business-to-Business (B2B) marketing initiatives and will focus on building partnerships and brand visibility.
Responsibilities:
Consumer (B2C) and Business (B2B) Marketing
- Support the go-to-market plan for new product launches, flagship products, and promotional campaigns, ensuring they meet commercial objectives, attract new customers, and engage existing ones.
- Collaborate on partner marketing efforts with Kacific's partners (e.g., Internet Service Providers) to align marketing programs with business objectives and support the achievement of sales targets.
- Analyse and evaluate marketing campaigns, driving efficiencies and recommending optimisations for maximum impact.
- Identify, coordinate, and participate in relevant industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to market Kacific's products and services, including pre-event and post-event marketing activities.
- Assist in training sales teams and partners on Kacific's services, products, and marketing strategies, equipping them with tools and insights to drive revenue growth.
- Act as a brand ambassador, ensuring consistent and impactful brand visibility across all channels, partners, and business markets.
Brand, Communications, and Public Relations
- Collaborate with internal and external marketing stakeholders to guide strategies, campaign development, and creative direction, ensuring they align with business goals and exceed performance expectations.
- Oversee and provide input on partners' customer-facing websites, digital platforms, and marketing materials to ensure alignment with Kacific's brand and strategic goals.
- Support the management of Kacific's digital communication tools, including websites, mobile applications, and social media platforms, to engage both partners and consumers effectively.
- Manage Kacific's brand publicity through coordinating with the PR agency on campaigns, press releases, and media outreach.
- Lead website content updates and SEO efforts to optimise Kacific's online presence and improve lead generation through higher search rankings.
Event Management
- Plan, coordinate, and execute marketing efforts for relevant conferences and events, showcasing Kacific's products and services to prospects, customers, and partners.
- Coordinate and manage events, including trade shows, conferences, dinners, and networking mixers, ensuring their alignment with marketing and business objectives.
- Organise and oversee event logistics, including vendor coordination, booth design, and on-site management.
Reporting and Analysis
- Develop and maintain detailed and regular reports on marketing performance metrics, such as campaign effectiveness, website traffic, social media engagement, and lead generation.
- Analyse data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement, providing actionable insights to optimise marketing strategies.
- Provide data-driven recommendations to maximise ROI and inform future campaigns.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure marketing activities align with overall business objectives and performance targets.
Key Skills and Requirements:
- 2 to 3 years of experience as an Assistant Manager or in a similar role.
- Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
- Strong writing, communication, and organisational skills.
- Proven experience in B2B and B2C marketing.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- Familiarity with digital marketing tools, SEO, and CRM platforms.
- Experience in event planning and execution.
- Knowledge of public relations strategies and media management.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and generate insights.
- Proficiency in managing external partners, agencies, and vendors.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with minimal supervision.
