The incumbent will be part of the Local Worker Advisory team with the Tripartite Alliance for Dispute Management (TADM).
Job responsibilities:
Provide advisory services on labour legislations, employment practices and workplace fairness issues (over email, phone, video conference and in person);
Advise customers on matters related to employment disputes, including discrimination cases and give guidance on options and possible recourse to the disputes and follow through with the case till closure;
Assist to file employment related claims and workplace discrimination complaints on behalf of the customers;
Assess contractual terminations, involuntary resignations on wrongful dismissal and including those related to workplace discrimination, follow through with the cases till closure;
Process and investigate workplace fairness and discriminatory cases/enquiries;
Develop and maintain accurate customer related information into databases;
Undertake process improvement and or ad hoc projects where required.
Job requirements:
Prior 2-3 years’ experience in human resources, customer service or counselling is an added advantage.
Able to handle difficult customers and/or sensitive issues calmly, empathetically and professionally. You should have a positive attitude and an interest in helping people.
Must be meticulous and possess good analytical and problem-solving skills.
Able to communicate well and write concisely.
Must be a team player who can work with both internal and external stakeholders.
Proficient in basic IT programmes like MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook.
