Job Description

Finance Business Partner to provide financial advice and guidance to NUS's Administrative departments.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide finance leadership and guidance to NUS administrative departments.
• Act as finance business advisor in the department’s cross-functional and/or strategic projects/initiatives, including system development and implementation activities.
• Provide financial advice and work proactively with departments to achieve both financial and business goals.
• Manage budget submission, allocation, and reporting to MOE.
• Approve FastPay collections link submission for student activities and provide support.
• Analyze information to provide business insights to support decision making and drive performance.
• Conduct regular reviews of department finance records such as debtors aging, balance sheet GLs, dormant accounts, grant accounts, etc. to ensure validity and accuracy.
• Liaise with shared services teams on accounting issues.
• Approver roles for:
• a) finance master data such as requests for WBS / Grant Master creation and closure;
• b) update of WBS master records such as FM assignments;
• c) budget/fund transfers; and
• d) financial journals.

Qualifications

• Possess a recognized degree in Accountancy with a minimum of 3 to 5 years working experience.
• CA/CPA, with audit experience preferred.
• Good knowledge of SAP financial systems (S4 HANA) and analytical tools (e.g., Power BI) would be an advantage.
• Possess excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication and strong interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• High level of independence as well as the maturity and ability to work with staff at all levels.
