Job Description

The Office of Finance is in search of an Assistant Manager/Manager in the Budget team. This role will report to Senior Associate Director (Budget).

  • Assist in the preparation and consolidation of annual budgets, forecasts and long-term financial outlook.
  • Evaluate and review budget submissions and work with Business Partners to understand the budget request.
  • Conduct variance analysis to track budget vs. actual performance and identify key drivers of variances.
  • Coordinate the annual budget release and monitor budget utilization.
  • Analyze financial performance to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Provide business partnering with Faculties, Departments and Other Units.
  • Explain complex financial data clearly.
  • Develop and maintain an accurate record-keeping system.
  • Provide financial summaries, reports, and strategic financial insights for Management as needed.

Qualifications

  • Degree majoring in Accounting/Finance, preferably with about 3 years of relevant working experience.
  • Strong financial and analytical skills, meticulous, resourceful, innovative, driven and self-motivated.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills and able to build relationships with internal stakeholders of all levels.
  • Strong organisation skills, positive work attitude and adaptive to changes.
  • Able to deal with stress and work under tight deadlines.
  • Hands-on and proficient in the use of Excel with working knowledge of SAP S/4 Hana or any analytical or visualisation tool will be an advantage.
