Assistant Manager, Learning & Development

We are looking for a Learning and Development team member to partner with the company in creating a learning culture within the organization. You will play a critical role in implementing and evaluating our WSQ, Non-WSQ, and e-learning training contents.

This role offers exciting opportunities to work with various internal departments and also external vendors, not limiting to government agencies and schools for any collaborations. We are providing a career pathway for progression from Assistant Learning & Development Manager to Learning & Development Manager.

Reporting:

  • Manager, L&D

Responsibilities:

Training Facilitation and Assessment

  • Conduct WSQ Food Safety course L1 (FSC L1)
  • Conduct WSQ FSC L1 assessment
  • Conduct WSQ Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) module L2
  • Conduct WSQ WSH L2 assessment
  • Conduct in-house courses
  • Conduct Service training for all frontline team members
  • Co-facilitate in-house Managerial courses – Operational level
  • Co-facilitate / conduct specialized courses such as Stress Management and DISC
  • Conduct shift verification assessment for Management Trainee’s confirmation (OJT)

Program Development / Enhancement:

  • Develop and implement training programs and curriculum
  • Develop the On-The-Job blueprint for all concepts
  • Develop an assessment checklist for all OJTs created
  • Evaluate the relevancy of the course content yearly

Learning Technology:

  • Lead Learning Management System initiatives
  • Verify content created before sharing via LMS
  • Keeping abreast on the best practices for any technology or tools

Administrative Duties:

  • Conducting the Learning Needs Analysis initiative
  • Collect and analyze data gathered
  • Monitor the training progress of all the team members
  • Manage Training Partner Gateway platform for WSQ classes
  • Done up training report for the L&D manager on a monthly basis
  • Confirm the OTJ log submitted by the junior team members and generate certificates

Other Duties:

  • Provide performance coaching to the junior-level members of the team regularly
  • Monitor and follow through with all the projects assigned
  • Conduct regular meetings with the team members to understand their needs
  • Provide support to team members and company’s initiatives
  • Champion any scheme initiatives with various agencies
  • Any other duties assigned

Requirements:

  • Minimum Diploma preferably in Training or a related field
  • Preferably 4 years of working experience in a similar industry
  • Experienced in conducting stand-up training and On-the-Job training
  • Equipped with ACTA / DDDLP certification or equivalent would be an added advantage
  • Food Safety Course L3 or Food Hygiene Officer
  • Equipped with Food Safety Course L4 certification would be an added advantage
  • Fluent in both writing and conversing in English and Mandarin language
  • Good time & project management
